The U-790 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Host Adapter makes it a snap to add or supplement a host system connectivity to 1000Base-T/TX Ethernet. Simply plug into A USB 3.0 port, there's need to install a PCI or PC Card NIC. This plug and play device auto senses network connections and negotiates the best link available. The Ethernet port accepts a standard RJ-45 connector from the network. The single type A USB port connects the adapter directly to a host computer's USB port. While backward compatible with USB 2.0, full Gigabit Ethernet speeds and modern networking features are only realized when used with SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports.
